Californians’ ability to fund our schools and community services is under attack.
The legislature in Sacramento just agreed to put a measure on the November ballot that would make it nearly impossible for California communities to raise money for public schools and community services.
This measure would require 2/3 voter approval to raise any new local revenue.
If this measure passes, it will make California the HARDEST place in the country to raise local revenue.
With your help, we can fight against this terrible initiative.
This initiative would undermine education funding for decades to come.
This measure would make it far more difficult for cities to raise revenue for essential services by imposing an excessive 2/3 threshold. If this measure was already enacted, we would have hundreds of millions of dollars less for public services already. This initiative will devastate our local communities.
This extreme initiative must be stopped.
With your help we can beat back this attack and take that momentum to reform Prop. 13. Donate today to join the fight for our schools and communities.
