Join the fight to reform Prop. 13. Send a message to Sacramento that it’s time for large commercial property owners to pay their fair share. Local elected bodies across the state are passing resolutions calling on the state legislature to close the commercial property loophole in Prop. 13. This reform will generate billions in local revenue for cities and counties.

Individual files:

The California Tax Reform Association has a report that shows how Prop. 13's commercial property loopholes have shifted the tax burden from commercial properties to homeowners. Read the full report here, or download county-by-county data using the link below.

Add your name below if you agree to the following five principles of Prop. 13 reform.

  • Assess commercial and industrial property at fair market value and close commercial property tax loopholes,

  • Invest the resulting funds ($9 billion a year) in the schools and local services we all depend on,

  • Protect homeowners and renters from any changes,

  • Provide tax relief for small businesses, and

  • Include accountability provisions so new funds are spent appropriately
